报告简介:

We present photoneutron reaction data in terms of the g-ray strength function (gSF) and partial GDR cross sections in conjunction with the photonuclear data project, IAEA-CRP F41032. The (g,n) and (n,g) cross sections are interconnected through theg-ray strength function (gSF) based on the Brink hypothesis of the approximate equality of the upward and downward gSFs. One can apply the gSF method to isotopic chains to deduce (n,g) cross sections for radioactive nuclei on the one hand and use the (g,n) cross section as an absolute normalization to the gSF below neutron threshold on the other. We also contribute to resolving the long-standing discrepancy between the Livermore and Saclay data of partial GDR cross sections by providing new experimental data with a novel methodology of direct neutron-multiplicity sorting.
